The Intensive Child Development Program Since the fall of 1999, All Our Kin has been training parents on public assistance and low-income parents to become child care providers in a nurturing, two-generational program that supports the whole family. Our model promotes economic development while expanding access to high-quality child care throughout New Haven. We work with parents who want to make a better life for themselves and their families while contributing to their communities through their work as early childhood educators. In our on-site child care, parents and children come together to learn under the guidance of master teachers who model best practice in early childhood education. Our training frees parents of young children to participate in the workforce and helps them be better parents, while providing high-quality early childhood education to their infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
